About me

I am a good listener. I have a calm manner and a generous heart.  I'm  compassionate, enthusiastic and uplifting.

For the past 35 years I've worked professionally with people across the charity, public and private sector.

Mostly with people and groups trying to be a force for good.

The areas of change I've personally focused on include disability, ill health, homelessness, addiction, poverty, unemployment, stress, anxiety and crisis of purpose.

I have a track record of building strong connections with people. Always starting where people are at with no fixed agenda. Keeping open minded and hearted allows me to work flexibly with what is emerging and to harness creativity and innovation.

I believe that relationship building has enabled me to develop effective partnerships and establish and to lead highly effective teams.

I have qualifications in Leadership and Management, Community and Youth Work, Psychosynthesis Leadership Coaching (Postgraduate level) and Surveying.

I am an EMCC Accredited Coach at Practitioner Level. As a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council I adhere to its code of ethics and standards. I have a current enhanced DBS check and professional indemnity insurance.

I volunteer with two co-operatives. I am a leader in The Woodcraft Folk, a youth empowerment movement. And I am Treasurer and on the Board of Community Assets for Society and Housing which supports the evolution of co-op housing.

My daily personal development practices learnt from Zen Buddhism (Plum Village Tradition), Psychosynthesis, Positive Psychology and a sprinkling of Taoism.

I love to cook,  cycle, go walking and to sit around a campfire with friends.

I am a native Londoner and live in South East London with my partner and our grown-up son.
